Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Emerson's Bakehouse, operated by Lost Wild & Free LLC (“we”, “us”), handles personal information collected through emersonsbakehouse.com.
Information we collect
- Order details: your name, email address, phone number, delivery or shipping address, the items you order, your pickup, delivery or ship date and any notes you add.
- Inquiries: what you send through our catering and contact forms.
- Text messages: if you opt in to order texts or use our “Text us” form, your mobile number and the messages we exchange.
- Technical data: basic information your browser sends (such as IP address and device type). We store only a one-way hashed version of IP addresses to prevent spam and abuse.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Intuit QuickBooks Payments on their secure payment page. We never see or store your full card number or security code.
Text messages (SMS)
We only text you if you opt in — by checking “Text me order updates” at checkout, by using our “Text us” form, or by texting us first. We use your number only to send order updates and to reply to you. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. Our texting provider processes messages only to deliver them.
How we use information
- To prepare, schedule, deliver and confirm your order
- To send order confirmations and reply to your questions
- To keep business and tax records
- To protect our website from spam and fraud
We don’t sell your personal information.
Service providers
We share information only with the providers that help us run the website and your order:
- Intuit QuickBooks Payments — invoicing and payment processing
- Vercel — website hosting
- Neon (or another PostgreSQL provider) — order and inquiry database
- Resend — sending order and inquiry emails
- Twilio — sending and receiving text messages (only if you opt in)
- Shippo and the shipping carrier (USPS, UPS or FedEx) — shipping prices, labels and delivery of shipped orders
- U.S. Census Bureau geocoder (and Google Maps, if enabled) — looking up a delivery address to price local delivery
Cookies & local storage
Your shopping bag is saved in your own browser (local storage) so it’s still there if you leave and come back. The order admin area uses a secure cookie for the business owner’s login. We don’t currently use analytics or advertising cookies; if that changes, this policy will be updated. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are popular. It doesn’t use cookies, and we don’t use it to identify you.
Retention
Order records are kept as long as needed for bookkeeping and tax purposes. Inquiries are kept for up to 24 months.
Children
Our website isn’t directed to children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information through our contact page. Some records must be kept for tax purposes.
Changes
We may update this policy and will change the date at the top when we do.
